Bio/Life-cycle
My name is Kevin Ndege. I am a Kenyan visual artist currently based at the Nairobi Railway Museum. I am a holder of a BSc Hons Degree, majoring in Mathematics from Egerton University Njoro.

A prolific self-taught artist, I started working professionally in 2010 as an illustrator after a short stint as a financial planner with Jubilee Insurance Kenya. I’ve served almost all the school curriculum publishing companies in Kenya as a freelance illustrator for the last four years i.e.

1. Oxford University Press East Africa
2. Oxford University Press Tanzania
3. Longhorn Kenya Ltd
4. Spotlight Publications
5. KICD (Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development)
6. JKF (The Jomo Kenyatta Foundation)
7. KLB (Kenya Literature Bureau)
8. EAEP (East African Educational Publishers)
9. Macmillan Pty South Africa

I’ve currently focused my energy on painting starting in 2015 with my preferred medium being oil on canvas. I have participated in the 2014 Nairobi Art Fair under Nairobi Railway Museum Art Studio and one joint exhibition titled COLOUR IDENTITY at the Alliance Francaise de Nairobi in July 2015

My paintings tell stories and highlight societal issues

My dream is to create unbridled art, be one of the most prolific artists of my generation and establish a professional art studio that can be a springboard for stellar artistic expression.
